He has, at that: he did go to school, even if he didn't attend quite as religiously as he should have, and he remembers them from history books. He looks at it, then raises his eyes to hers, surprised, grinning a lopsided little grin.

Well, that's certainly a look she'd like to see on his face as often as possible. It gets her to grin too, just a little, and she feels warmer than she has since the Admiral's announcement.
"And to think you almost talked yourself out of having one."
He shoots her an amused glance but doesn't otherwise react to the first part. "No, no," he says, looking around the ship. "He's easy to please. Just- maybe close the door to the--" He isn't actually sure what to call it, so he gestures at the cockpit.
"If you want it to come out of this ordeal unmolested."
"Believe me, he couldn't ruin it any more than the owner before me did." She says, and her voice is incredibly dry and just a little steeped in annoyance. "In fact, maybe I'll ask him to help me tear some badly chosen upgrades out."
Unkar Plutt ruined the best ship in the galaxy and Rey is still mad about it.
"And miss out on a chance to be his moral support? I don't think so." She says with a shake of her head. "There are seats right behind the pilot and co-pilot chairs, you'll be able to watch the whole thing."
